Changes to the GMT II?

What changes does everybody expect to the GMT line this year from Rolex? Discontinue the VTNR Sprite because the left has run it's course? Reintroduce the Coke? Discontinue the Pepsi because the bezel is too hard to make? Introduce another left handed version? Everybody seems to have their own thoughts - even though nobody knows - what do you think?

My AD has been hinting at the possibility of a Teddy Ruxpin GMT being released this year. Definitely on the list to buy that one.

I heard they were considering a collab with Ice Spice.

Case refined like the 41mm 126 Submariners with tapered lugs, BLNR gets retired, and a new bezel color gets introduced…possibly a Coke.

I believe the GMT case will mirror the Sub41 eventually but the major issue will be what happens to the GMT clasp because if it grows to match the new larger 21mm tapered bracelet, we have issues. If that happens then the watch becomes way too bulky for a GMT model with a wider and longer clasp.

A collaboration with Swatch, platric watch, velcro strap and making it available in 25 different colors.

Honestly, that’s the only thing I’m not thrilled about with my 12xx Submariner, the clasp.

It’s definitely not a deal breaker, but I have both the 114060 and the 124060 so I get to compare them often.

Although the clasp on the 12xx is only 1mm larger, it is noticeable on the wrist.

Sometimes I wonder what it would wear like if they tapered the bracelet 1mm more and kept the old clasp … maybe that would be too extreme.

They might not make any changes and just change the bezel colors based on that patent we read about in the other thread.

We might see a coke or a redder and bluer version of the Pepsi.

Speculation is a waste of time, but fun. Rolex can be quite surprising and will often throw an unexpected curveball.

My AD’s dad works at a company that likes Rolex a lot. He said they are releasing an all purple sub date date, 2 dates so you see the date at any angle.

How would that compare to the Explorer II with 22mm lug width?
