Yay or Nay

I currently own an Explorer 1 and a Submariner. Although I feel these are two very different watches, both share one thing in common, the oyster bracelet. Now I think the oyster bracelet is one of the best watch bands on the market. That being said, the Glidelock on an oyster bracelet is sheer perfection. So I decide to switch out the bracelet on my Explorer. I went with a leather strap from Everest, as I liked the curved end aesthetic. I've had it on for about two days now, and really like it. I think it looks sharp and of course it makes the watch overall lighter on the wrist. It straddles the sports/casual/dressy look more aptly in my opinion. I'd like to hear your opinions...what do you guys/gals think?

It looks good to me except for one thing, I think all Rolex sports models look better with end links.

I think the Explorer is so versatile and one of the few Rolex models that look smashing on a strap or band. I like it.

Looks good.

I bet a RubberB or Everest also would look pretty sweet, and feel good on the wrist.

I felt it looked cleaner without the end links. But it is and option that Everest offers.

Not my thing, I really prefer a bracelet. But it is nice to have the option to change things up.

For me, it's a "nay". Sorry, just prefer SS Rolex sport watches on the oyster bracelet. I love the Pepsi on the Jubilee. I did the whole "Panerai" thing a back in the 2000's, and got it out of my system.

If you like it, that's all that matters.

Nay. Black on black doesn’t work here, and the fatter modern cases don’t do it for me on a strap.

I think what you mean is "yea or nay," but either way, yes, the watch looks good on leather.

Looks good off the bracelet. Personally, I think leather is awesome, but even canvas is cool. I just think a field watch looks a little funny on a bracelet. But anyway, the older references (1016, 14270, 114270) look almost dressy with leather because of the smaller size. Works for 214270 too if you have bigger wrists and can do 39mm as a dress watch.

A nice Tapetenwechsel, though the oyster remains superior in my mind.
