A full precious metal dress watch
Over the past year I have been looking for a full precious white metal dress watch that I feel comfortable wearing anywhere. Looked at DD36, DD40, AP, etc. I couldn't find a lot of options for Patek. I have tried a 5396 white dial with full white gold bracelet, and it feels good though I want something less complicated.
Has there been any bracelet version of 5227G, or even older generations like 5127, etc.? |

Stick with the DD40 imho. It's a classic that will never go out of style. Higly reliable, excellent FAST service, and five year warranty too.

Quite a few non-complicated Patek dress watches could be had on a bracelet including 3998, 5107, and 5127 and lots earlier. They tend to be dogs in the secondary market and just don't look good compared to the strap versions IMHO. I'd get a strap piece or look elsewhere altogether...

5127 did have a bracelet version in low production.
Kind of defeats the point though... |

Traditionally a dress watch came with leather straps. Many purists would say that a DD is not a dress watch and that Cellini is the Rolex version of a dress watch.
There are some older discontinued Calatravas that came with a bracelet. You may be able to find them at some pre-owned watch stores. |

If the DD40 can be had at ~25k I will definitely consider one. For above $30k I prefer getting a PP instead..
