Finally put the rubber on the ROC

Following the lead of orangedial I decided to switch the AP Panda from the bracelet to a rubber strap to give it a different look. Starting my watch obsession with Panerai has made me enjoy the versatility and combinations different straps can bring to a watch and this is no different.

Started off with this:

Ended with this, loving the results.

AWESOME!!! Looks great Brian, what a cool change up. Was it hard to do by yourself? Did you use loctite? Did you have to break existing loctite?

It was actually a really easy process. Taking the bracelet off was not bad at all, if you do run into trouble take a hair dryers to the lugs and warm the sides of the case so the locktite softens. After you take the bracelet off, I attached the plots to the rubber strap which I did use my third hand on (That little screw driver on a stand that is pictured) since the plot to strap screws are a two headed screw systems.

After that it was just a matter of screwing in the 4 screws that attach the plots to the case.

Took me all of 5 minutes to do it.

Maybe it's just me but I find APs so much nicer on rubber… except the gold bracelets of course.

Looks good with the panda subdials but I prefer leather for a chrono, rubber for a diver.

Damn that looks cool. I love the RO panda. The AP rubber is one of the best.
