Just saw a "stock" pic with 7 up and 5 down. The other one must have come in a bag with the bits and bobs.
There is quite a bit of gold in the spare links, a good couple of hundred since they are now solid.

thanks for the tip; i didnt know that, and it will surely help me as i struggle to figure out how many links to put where....
in trying to adjust the watch, i just figured out how the easy link works; i had it "out", but would rather set up the band with it "in", so i can expand it when i fly overseas and my wrist swells up a bit. the band has three holes in the clasp, and from first to the last, it looked about the same size as one link; but when i just pulled it apart, it looks about 2/3s of one link; so i just left the link out and adjusted the band into the outermost hole. guess i will try it like this for a while and see how i like it! i have learned more about rolex on this site in just the last couple days than i learned the last 20 years! thanks for all the great responses!! mark |
