Flip BLNR for white Daytona C?

So I have the BLNR and don't find myself wearing it much. I still like it but I don't love it and I have 3 Rolex with a similar black dial including an SD4K and a 114060. I was offered a deal to get rid of the BLNR now for what I paid for it in exchange for a new white Daytona (likely eta early 2018) which would involve a discount. Obviously I'd have to kick in the cash difference as well. The problem is that it's unlikely I'll even see one in person before receiving mine so I have no idea how I'll feel about it in real life. Should I make the deal and flip it?

they will give you the full value of your used BLNR, give you a discount on the Daytona and promised a delivery of early 2018?!! That's an amazing deal. !!
You should jump on it. There are plenty of BLNR out there that you can easily get one whenever you feel like having it again.

By the way, is it an AD?

If you don't wear the Blnr and can get what you put in to it ,why not ? If you desire the Daytona ,I'd go for it . Right now the Blnr is hot ,so I'd try to get a bit more than you paid.
Negotiate with them,good luck.

Yes an AD. The date is a realistic anticipation but not guaranteed. He's always been straightforward with me in the past.

I think you'll be the only poster on the boards who gets trade in values equal to what you paid new on top of receiving a discount on a SS Daytona C...

OP is located in US. There are plenty of BLNR available. I doubt he will get more than what he paid for the BLNR. Unless he got a sweet deal when he got it.

You should flip your BLNR for a TT Sub C Blue Sunburst
dial and trade your ND Sub for the Daytona C when it arrives.
That's what I would do ...

Do it! Daytona is a stunner!

If worse comes to worst and you don't like the Daytona, flip it for a profit and you may just have enough to pick up two steel pieces (including another BLNR if you like).

It doesn't hurt to try. If they are willing to give him what he payed for it ,right off the bat, without any back and forth, then who knows ....all they can say is , no

Easy. You can always flip Daytona if you don't like it and make money and go back to blnr

I have the BLNR and I've seen the new 116500 with a white dial in person; DO IT.

I sold my BLNR to fund my Daytona C, and I honestly don't miss the BLNR at all. I think it's a great Rolex to own as an only watch, but it was kind of the odd man out in my collection, which is heavy on Rolex sport models with black dials. The Daytona C is sublime and a true modern classic with a rich history. I'm sure I'll get another GMT, but it will probably be a Z-series Pepsi. Frankly the incessant lovefest for the BLNR around here started to turn me off to the piece.

The Daytona is tits. But so is the blnr. I bet as soon as you trade it, you will miss it.

Personally I would keep the BLNR and flip the SD or Sub....they are very similar and the BLNR adds some color to your lineup.

If I was you, I would keep the blnr and trade the SD or the sub. You don't need 2 divers which look very similar. The blnr is far enough from them and complements the collection very well :

1 diver, 1 GMT and 1 chronograph ( all iconic watches in their own field)

If you don't love or wear then the BLNR then there seems little point keeping it. Go for it and get something you love. It is very easily reversed if you change your mind.

It seems hard to believe that an AD would 1) pay you for your trade-in BLNR as much as you have in it, and 2) offer you a discount off $12,400 for a new ceramic SS Daytona.

If we are reading this right, and this is true......

Of course do it. This sounds like an amazing deal. If you don't like Daytona...just flip it for profits. Simple.

Oh yeah....I love the BLNR and own a white Daytona...do it. As someone else said you can easily go back to a BLNR if there is regret.

Do ittttt. I had a SubC date reserved, and the AD called me saying another client wanted it for a birthday gift or something, but they had BLNR coming in and it would be mine for giving up the SubC. So i bought it sight unseen.
