Rolex price increase confirmed by my AD!

I stopped by my AD today and he confirmed that Rolex is increasing prices on the stainless and TT sport models by 6%. 18ct YG & WG sport models by 8%Both price increases are effective Sept 15th. Today... I didn't believe it until he showed me the new price list. SS Daytona went from $9925 to 10400.

According to my AD, Rolex has increased prices because their raw material costs are up..

Yes, it has to do with the weak dollar as compared to the Swiss Franc.

I don't buy for one minute their raw material prices increased that dramatically. There isn't even that much raw material in these watches. You are telling me the increase in their raw materials translates to a 400 dollar increase in the Exploror II? They can claim anything they want I guess.

I'm just glad I got my Daytona on Saturday before the price hike, although the price hike alone would not have stopped me.

It is real nice to pay less, but it is watch I wanted regardless and $500 would not have been enough to deter me from my goal.

I Forgot to mention, Rolex also increased the price on the newly released SS Sub-C. SS black ceramic went from $7250 to $7350. The green ceramic went from $7725 to 7825.
