Faded Orange Hand
I have a 1655 with a faded orange hand: Pale orange at the tip and a nice orange at the stem. Want to ask the forum if it's a good idea to replace the orange hand with an evenly aged orange hand - patina would have to match or at least replace the other hands with a matching set. Or should I just leave it as is
Thx |

Post a photo if you can, as it would be good to see the hand as well as the watch
BTW I'd probably leave it as it is |

Leave it
Fading is a normal process, also it's original.

Agreed. Natural aging patina beats non original every time, imho.

Leave it alone. I bet it looks cool. It's part of the beauty of a vintage Rolex.

Wow! That's a great looking 1655! The lugs are really thick, and the orange hand is spectacular!

Changing that would decrease its value. Leave it alone! :)

that hand actually helps make this watch look better than one taht looks new. a patina-ed handset like that provides a certain legitimacy to the watch that you simply cannot put a value on. your head would spin if you removed that hand and put it on ebay. you would get some big bux. harry
