I just inherited a Rolex submariner 14060M with a K serial number, 501B 93150, I am wondering what type of crystal these watches originally came with, plastic or sapphire, also are there any laser etchings that i should be looking for at the 6:00, i am new to the rolex world and really have no knowledge of them, any help would be great.

I believe a "K" would be 2001 era and have a saphire crystal and no laser etching on the crystal either unless it has been replaced but this did not come until well after 2001

All 14060 Subs have a sapphire crystal..

Yours may or may not have the coronet etched in the crystal as it was produced during the change-over years...
