Noob PAM winding question

Dear all..

Just got my first PAM, the all-time fave 111.

Is it safe to wind ur PAM without opening the lever on the crown?
Or its the only way to do it. Sorry for the noob question. Got no one to turn to.

Regards.

Congrats on the 111

Open the lever before winding, or otherwise attempting to operate the crown

Thanks for the fast response. What u mean by attempting to operate the crown?
Since 111 is a 3 day manual, i have this feeling that the crown will wear off if i open and close it too often. Is there any particular damage if i do wind the watch without opening the lever? Just for the sake of the power reserve though.

Cheers

You won't wear anything out - in fact, you will cause friction and wear by trying to move the crown with the lever closed.

Congrats bro... Mine is 4days old, and it ran off energy this afternoon.. I thought I've wind it correctly but I didnt.. You should open the lever, and winding the crown until you 'feel' it fully winded.

Alway open the lever to operate the crown or you'll prematurely wear out the seals.
