Panerai Tuttonero

Does anyone have the details on this new model?

Is this the same as the Panerai (PAM 441) Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic Ceramica?

The 441 looks like an awesome watch, any indications on price?

Regards

It is totally ceramic apart from the clasp, it is almost the same as the 441 but aside from the bracelet being ceramic and the 441 leather, the movement is also black, the 441 has a darkened display glass to give the impression of a darkened movement. The 441 will retail at 7800 GBP here in UK.

Looks ok Steve.

Later this year one of the most beautiful new Panerai watches will release. We have to admit, that ever since the brand became very popular about 10 years ago, we lost a bit of interest, at least for the most part. Fall 2012 will see the drop of the new Panerai PAM 438 Tuttonero GMT Ceramic and that changes all that again.

The combination of the all black ceramic case and bracelet with the vintage colors used on the dial is simply beautiful. The case is 44 mm in diameter and is powered by a 29-jewel Panerai P.9001/B in-house automatic movement. Functions include: hours, minutes, small seconds, date and a second time zone. Also the power reserve is 72-hours and the watch is of course also water-resistant up to 300 meters.

A release is expected for October 2012 with a price tag of around 12′000 USD.

Everything about the 438 is pretty sweet, but, the "Ceramic" on the dial is still a turn off for me.

I wonder how the ceramic bracelet will feel in a tactile sense? Will it feel too light, will it feel like a china cup?

When we start talking these kind of numbers in dollars for a Panerai......well one wants to get commensurate value and long term value too.

We have one quote above for the 438 at $12,000 and another at $16,300.....
At $16,300 it isn't a huge jump to go to a Patek (a totally different watch however)...just saying.

I guess time will tell.

per oscar's sticky, it's $16,300.

not really sure if PP is the right comparison, stevo, and, anyway, there are many other PAMs that list for much higher prices than the 438, not to mention other brands....
