New SuperOcean Chrono II RED
hey all
today ive ordered a new watch and im having a few thoughts about it which i wanted to run past you guys.. Ive ordered 1/2000 only Brietling SUPEROCEAN CHRONOGRAPH II RED http://www.breitling.com/en/news/ind...dContent=64955 my slight dilemma is that is comes with a polished SS bracelet. Ive never owned a watch with a polished bracelet and worry that its a little 'Bling' for my liking. however they have also introduced another strap in leather with red piping that may suit me better.. so i think im going to end up buying this aswell? does anyone have any thoughts/pictures wearing a polished bracelet? is it too much? the 2 straps in question are : and any comments / help would be greatly appreciated.. cheers Andy.. |

It is flashier in person than in pics. But some people like that. For my superocean GMT I prefer the rubber strap. I wasnt too keen on rubber until I actually wore it. It is extremely comfortable and is now one of my favorites to wear. The leather you are considering looks great too.

Wear it if that suits you well. Do not worry what anyone else might think. You are the only one who should judge. Besides, you already ordered it.

Chances are, you'll get used to the polished bracelet pretty quickly. And if you don't, you can always have it brushed. By the way, Breitling bracelets are incredibly well made and surprisingly comfortable, considering how beefy they are. Breitling rubber straps are also super comfortable and among the very best made IMO.

Fantastic watch. I love that red bezel! I think the SO series is the absolute best bang for the buck. Enjoy!

hey guys just a quick update.. i didn't go with the black / red strap in the end as i felt the steel bracelet looked so much better.. however if the new superocean leather strap had red stitching as well as the red down the side that would have been a whole different story..
I've been wearing it all week (inc today) and love it, its quite weighty (although not the heaviest of watches) so i think tomorrow it will go back in its box for a while and let another watch come out to play for a week :) still not seen or read anything on here about it.. does know one else have one? |
