1675 GMT stem issue
First time poster here and I hope you folks can give me a hand. As stated I have a 1675 I am having issues with. It keeps time fine but I can't get the stem out to wind or set it. I can unscrew it and screw it back in, but it won't move to the first detent, or move to allow winding.
Any thoughts, or advice would be appiciated. Randy |

Send it to the RSC or your local AD may have a watchmaker on staff. If you're in the Columbus area, I think The Diamond Celler at Easton has a watchmaker but I haven't lived in C-bus in years.

Chances are the detent mechanism needs adjustment. Most likely a 10 minute job for a competent watchmaker. If the watch runs and keeps good time, you don't really need service.
One thing to be careful of is any work on detent would require the watch maker to remove the dial, and every time that occurs you have a 'relatively' high chance of scratching the dial. |
