How to choose a good 1016?

Hi, I am new here. This is my first post. I am saving up for a Rolex Explorer 1016. It will be my second watch. Now I have a submariner 114060.

My budget is up to 8,000 USD (+/-). Please suggest me how to choose the right one (condition matching with the price) and where to look for. I live in Thailand and it is very hard to find here. So, I need the trusted seller since I cannot see the real watch myself.

Should be no problem to find one in that price range. Familiarise yourself with the sellers on the classified section here on TRF, and find as many threads as you can about the 1016, both in the vintage and reference sections, and read, read, read. Welcome to TRF!

I had checked that place and a few more sites. Most of them sell the newer models. Thanks for your suggestion.
