5711 or 5110p or 5130p - which one would you get?
My blue 5711 is delayed. Told by AD supposed to arrive this month but has been pushed back to next shipment whichever date that is.
Probably not a fair comparison price wise but the 5110p in the other (mps354) thread looks really beautiful and the 5110p and 5130p is more readily available (used & new) which got me thinking hmmm. If price is not a factor which one would you choose and why? The watch is going to be used daily in mainly smart casual settings (no sports). |

I would stick with the 5711 blue. Perfect for smart casual daily wear.

It is difficult to advise unless we know if this will be your first, second, third or even fourth Patek. If this is your first Patek, the 5711/1A will be an excellent choice. However if you already have several Patek watches, then adding a World Timer will add variety to your existing collection. A platinum Patek will always be a special timepiece, moreso than a 5711/1A.
In the Rolex world, a SS Sub will always be an excellent choice for a first Rolex. But for a Rolex collector, a platinum DD/DDII would be at a different echelon. |

Stay put and wait for the 5711. After it arrives you will be so glad you waited. Purchasing your second choice just does not work out.

5711, followed by the 5110. Not a fan of the 5130.

Thanks for the advice guys . I'll keep my reservation for the 5711. Probably makes more sense to me as this would be my first Patek.

Totally different watches, but if I had to pick one it would be the platinum world timer. It's on a different level.

Having both, I'd go 5711 for a daily. Don't get me wrong, the 5110p is amazing, but for a daily wearer I think the nautilus is more versatile and robust
