How long does it take to break-in a Lamy Safari?
Hello everyone!
I picked up a Lamy Safari as a beater. The nib skips.. A lot when compared to high quality luxury pens. Is this a matter of breaking the nib in or is this something that I have to live with for the rest of the pen's life? Thank you! |

Hi, you may not be getting responses as you posed your question in the wrong Section for Pens and Writing Instruments…..
You may want to take that pen back to the store you bought it from and see what they can do for you. I bought a Lamy Safari over 5 years ago which has a 14K nib. It writes beautifully and have had no problems at all with it. Also you might want to correspond with Lamy to see what they say but if you just purchased your pen go back to the store you purchased from….. Take care…..Leo

I agree with Leo.
Also... typically a dealer will swap you out nibs and they are easy to change. You may want to consider that. Good luck!
