Love the patina. The case might have been polished a little, but still looks nice. I think the price is a bit high. I had an all-tritium full-set AND serviced 16600 that I had trouble selling recently for about that price, although I realize the patina wasn't as strong and the 16660 is an older reference.

Although the serial number not was not given in the post, I would think 1983 would have the matte dial. Maybe, maybe not - without knowing the serial number.
I would like to add - the case seems very nice for its age. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a properly "polished" watch since most vintage watches have been polished at one time or other during the life of the watch.

Based on the serial number, this is probably an early gold-surrounds dial. I don't know if anyone can say for sure when the mattes ended and the surround markers started. There would definitely be some overlap in dials.

Nice warm patina on the one. I think the case looks nice and crisp. Dig the amber pearl on that nice insert. Good looking watch.

It looks like the insert is cracked in the first picture. It might have happened if someone replaced the pearl.
