I cannot see the hallmarks properly. The dial is definitely off an older watch. What year or serial ? I can't see the band hallmarks either

No need. There are several glaring issues with the watch just from the pics provided. In the interested of saving time, just look at the winding crown, lol...

Correct mono block for gold models they now separate them from two tone gold crowns this could be a replacement.

I thought the monobloc crowns came out well after the 18238 though? So, for that era, I thought 2 dots always signified 18k white gold.

EDIT: AAAAAAAAHHHHH, sorry, missed the fist "1". Was thinking 18238. Oops...

Still, the dial is wrong, and that bracelet doesn't look right at all. The engraving on the clasp is crooked, and it looks a lot more copper than gold.
The SELs look a bit chunky too, and appear to sit above the case lugs on the bottom side. Also, shouldn't the hands be lumed?

Yeah, see my edit above. I was thinking 18238, not 118238, as the clasp shown is the older one, which (AFAIK) only appeared on the very early 118238 models, and most of them have the updated clasp.

I still think there are some remaining issues with the watch in question though. Best-case scenario is that it's a franken, IMO.

Yeah wrong hands and dial I am not saying it's all real that's for sure. I just can't say it's all fake. Could easily be thrown together a fake case and band out of Hong Kong in gold and a dial added. I just can't tell for sure.

Nothing is perriod correct, the only thing that seems gen to me is the dial, but it from an older version.

Not at all.

The newer gold monobloc crowns are machined out of a solid piece (or "block") of gold, with a stainless threaded stem sleeve/tube pressed in.
Whereas the older ones are just capped in a thick sheet of gold, press-formed around the base metal.

The diagram that David posted above (post #7) is an excellent visual on the difference. Monobloc on the left, older version on the right, with the color green representing gold content.

To me, crown and the three gold assay markings on lugs look correct.

I did not study/compare dial hands with a known genuine, but I accept Crown collections
