I think I have a crush on the 5960-1A

I am not big into Patek but recently I have been reviewing their line and trying to figure out what I might like if I decided to get one someday. I really find the 5960-1A interesting. It has an annual calendar, chronograph, and date night indicator all for under 35k on the grey market. When we consider that a 5711 is about 25k, you get so much more in the 5960-1A. What are the general feelings about this watch on the forum?

Most people do not care for the super shiny rice bracelet. When retrofitted properly on a strap it looks great IMO. It was made to appeal to a younger collector and upon its release was popular but they can now be found everywhere in ADs showcases and just do not sell. If YOU like it, obviously it doesn't matter what others think but do not buy just because you think it is a good value or if you think this piece may be a good investment because this model is not and very few modern Pateks are. Best of luck in your search!

I have liked it from introduction. The price is right if you want a PP.

I prefer bracelet watches but this on on a strap is stunning as well. With our humid weather, bracelets are a must.

I don't have ANY experience with annual calendar watches, but visually speaking I like the look of this IWC a lot better. PLUS its blue and kind of goes with your blue theme (as of late).

Edit: True it doesn't have the chrono feature, but I think that makes the dial too busy, for my taste.

It's great. Bracelet is actually really comfortable. As others have said, looks great on strap as well.

Love mine...it's a great watch. At first I was worried about the bracelet but it's really nice in person and sets it apart from all the other steel watch bracelets out there.

It's a great watch, no doubt.

A bit too shiny for me, that's why some people put it on a strap.

If they switched the bracelet and some portions from polished to brushed, wow.

For me, I'm not a fan of the bracelet, and was never big on those pushers or the Patek bulls eye chrono layout...I'm one of the few that didn't really like the 5980 at all.

Not sure how many people have actually tried it on, but I have friends that were big time haters of the piece...when I made them try it on they fell in love with it.

Just sayin'...try it on.

Love it! I saw one in the AD when I picked up my 5711. I will keep saving and one day, perhaps, I will get one!

I think I have a crush on the 59601a

Just got back from Geneva trip to Patek (see Racerdj thread Trip of a lifetime)I was wearing my 59601a Tiffany dial and was happy and must say somewhat surprised to see Thierry Stern wearing his 59601a.Could have been the ultimate sales/marketing ploy but pretty cool nonetheless. The watch isn't for everyone but I appreciate the non traditional non classic Patek's i.e. Regulator and Pilot's watch.Thank you Dave for posting such great photos of a truly remarkable and unforgettable trip.

I love mine. It is a rare combo --- annual calendar and chronograph and PR indicator. It is a great piece and one of my most worn pieces. I am not super fond of the bracelet but it fits very nicely.

I'd agree with this. Watch was much nicer in person than I expected.

My local AD has one and saw it a couple weeks ago, and the bracelet/watch combo does look nicer in person.
Three ADs I have been to had it, so it seems not a hard one to get ahold of so take your time

Sporting a Tiffany dial watch on a non-Tiffany sponsored event? You're a brave guy!
