I was told by both AD's here in Hawaii that rolex dealers dont give discounts... i find that hard to believe cause i did get a good price on the watch that i bought from a mainland dealer... anyone have any insight into this? if that's the case i will never buy from a dealer here in Hawaii !!! AGAIN.. SEE WHAT YOU GOT ME INTO DMAN

BTW DMAN tomorrow is aloha friday!! hawaiian plate for lunch with da POI!!!

S/S models are a hit or miss with dealers, but some lucky soles have reported 5%-10%.

TT or gold models almost always have some incentive built in to make them more appealing.

It really depends on where you are buying from or how much you have have bought from that AD in the past. Here in Toronto discounts can be had, and when they cannot be had (for certain models) there are always freebies to be had. I have been offered a $1200CAD winder (that I was looking at anyways) for free if I bought a $7000CAD watch since they couldnt do much on the price for me, thats roughly a 15% discount if you want to look at it like that

there is no regulation that I know of that they can enforce on each piece that is sold. The reason I know this, I have heard and seen much bigger discounts on all models than 10-15%.

I think that it is easy for a dealer to just tell you that, but it is not true. Now I have heard of dealers that had their accouts pulled, but these are more AD's that were basically advertising discounts. It is more of an unspoken thing, it really does make a difference if you have a strong relationship with your AD.

oh DMAN had graces katsu plate the other day... extra kim chee and sauce!!! woo wooo... yeah the AD's here in hawaii give me very little choice... ben bridge (which i can see doesn't give discounts in other states also) or some boutique in Waikiki that probably only sells to japanese tourist judging by their staff ( good thing i can speak the language too)... anyway it will be awhile before i can get another one so

It may take a while, but it is never to early to start the research and watch stash going. The hunt is as fun as wearing the prize my friend. When does your "kill" arrive in the islands?
