Daytona 500 alignment question

Since the moment I took my Daytona out of its plastic travel coffin direct from my AD the chrono seconds has been just... slightly forward from top dead center when reset. It’s almost half a second forward, that’s the best description I can give.

1. Has anyone else seen this on the new movement?
2. Any concerns I should have?
3. Is there a way the fix this without opening the watch?

Does it align with the hour and minute hand at 12?

Maybe dial is off relative to hands?

Fwiw, I have a RG Daytona where the ceramic bezel is slightly rotated off the dial. I just left it as is.

Same thing here on my SS - it's just slightly clockwise.

But hands are all aligned perfectly.

Interesting.

I had noticed in obline pictures that the Chrono seconds has is always dead center.

Why don’t you give a RSC a call and see what they say? Maybe there is a tolerance for it.

Yes, very slightly forward by a tic or so. Very small yet measurable.

Mine is perfectly aligned to my eye. It's likely off if checked with a loop but at 1X it looks good.

When I purchased my 116253 over 10 years ago I had the choice of black or white face in stock at the AD.
I chose black but still remember the fact that the seconds hand on the white face did not line up perfectly at 12 o'clock. FWIW

See pic below. And no, it's not that the camera is 'angled', yet that would be a logical question to ask. Of course depending on the angle you view the watch face it can be almost either way (ahead or behind), yet it is ahead by a tiny amount.
