Permanent link removal on a DD.

My wife wants to wear my 118238 DD36. I don’t ever wear it so it’s fine with me. The issue is that I will need to remove 1-2 permanent links. Is this possible on this watch? Can the Rolex AD do it and what side should I have them removed on?

Not sure if Rolex would do it, but a private watchmen shop like Rolliworks can do it for you. The side of the bracelet to remove the links would depend on the shape of your wife’s wrist

Thanks. I was hoping the AD could do it because they could size it on the spot. She has a very small wrist. Maybe under 5 inches.

It can be done by a skilled watchmaker. Whether an AD would do it is a different question regarding policy.

But a few calls will let you know.

Last idea is send it to one of the bracelet specialists mentioned widely on TRF and have the links removed.
