Eaton’/Rolex (?) Pocket Watch Movement
Hi, folks. I’m looking for some help to identify the pocket watch movement below.
For several decades, Rolex manufactured gold watches for Canada’s T. Eaton department stores that were presented to Eaton’s employees with 25 years service. The hour markers were replaced with 1/4 CENTURY CLUB. This movement was inside a 1/4 Century Club pocket watch in a dressy case that was not engraved with the recipient and date. The movement isn’t marked, except for Swiss and the number 8665. It’s good quality (four adjustments). Posting here to see if anyone can identify the manufacturer. Thanks in advance. |

This looks like a Tavannes movement, almost identical to this one on ebay at the moment:

I’d say you nailed it. The serial numbers are not far apart, either.
Thanks for taking time, and posting the picture, I appreciate it. |
