IWC dealer prices

Hi all. Considering buying an IWC Portofino from a local authorized dealer.
I'm sure it depends on the model but is there a rough idea how you are all doing with making offers or % of retail price you are paying?
Thanks.

IWc crashes big time secondary but I hear they aren’t easy for large discounts either. Makes no sense if you ask me. I’ve played a few times but currently avoid the brand as it’s costly to “try” one

My friend tried asking for discount on Portuguese but was told by the sales as they do not offer any at the moment. Not really worthwhile to consider brand new IWC at retail price.

You can easily get 15% off at an AD. If they won’t give you, keep trying until you find one. You can always go grey market as well.

+1. Try another AD or grey dealers.

Agree, 20% should be possible. But, if you like the watch and don’t intend selling, does it really matter?

Rather than asking for a discount, ask for a hot watch bundle... Value wise, you will be able to "obtain a higher discount rate" when you flip that hot watch.

Absolutely, never leave savings on the table if you know they’re available

This is a photo that was posted by someone in a Facebook group I’m in. I found it humorous and saved it. I can’t recall exactly where the photo was taken but I believe the poster said it was in an airport. Judging from the “hygiene standards” signage, I’m guessing it had to have been taken within the past 12-14 months.

I just looked at Jomashop and the discount range is 10 - 37%, most being around 18% discount. ADs may also offer around 20% depending on the model.

Holy cow. A 30% off sign! Don't know why I'm so surprised to see that.

How much do they sink in the after market? The blue portugese looks cool, but i think i wanna save afrw bucks & just hit grey mkt. is 50% off msrp for a used one sounds realistic?

I've owned a number of IWC's over the years and whenever I've sold mine, I always ended up selling them for half MSRP.

I've always gotten about 20-25% discount from AD so my loss (after a number of years of ownership) was 25% - not too bad :)
