AP Chrono or Diver...?

Hi All,

What do you think - should I get the (i) 26300ST Panda Chrono or (ii) Black Ceramic Diver 15707CE?

Like the all black stealth look of the diver compared to the 39mm Chrono which can go from office to outdoors. Of course the 26300 is going to cost a bit more. I do not have any white dial APs hence drawn to Chrono.

Happy to hear your thoughts.

Cheers.

I prefer the Chronograph. Just the looks for me.

Those are both great watches but completely different. One is a sports car and the other is sn SUV. Have you considered a 41 ROC? It’s classy but slightly bigger side which makes it more sporty but not oversized like the diver. Kind of the best of both worlds. If not it’ll just depend on what look suits your lifestyle the most, dressy or active.

I prefer the diver, feels and looks like a true sports watch.

Between these two, I'd take the CE diver. The 26300 Panda is one of my least favorite ROC dials (unlike the 26331 Panda, which is my favorite).

If you have no steel ROs I would definitely get the chronograph. If you do have a steel RO I would go for the ceramic diver. A very special watch and probably the only fully ceramic AP that is reasonably priced at this point.

Thanks to folks for their thoughts.

Question, between the ROO Jarno Trulli vs Diver CE, which would you choose? The Jarno is Cermet which is quite like Ceramic.

Cheers.

If you’re going down that route I would much prefer a Gina7.

Thanks and interesting, I have never seen a Ginza 7 before. Don't think many are floating around.

Still cannot decide if I should let go the Jarno to get the Diver ceramic..?

ROC, without a doubt.........from AP

For diver, I wouldn't buy one from AP, it's not a real diving watch - you have to unscrew to adjust the inner rotating bezel and screw in when you're done

Blancpain/Rolex/Omega/Panerai are more iconic due to their respective heritage and history

If the choice is 42mm ROO vs diver, the timing bezel doesn't seem to be a priority. I much prefer the brushed ceramic to forged carbon, so it would be the ceramic diver for me.

The less said about Panerai's "heritage" the better.
