5513 bezel ring variation？

Hi everyone.
I’ve noticed there are some different bezel rings for 5513 in each period.
I tried look up online, but there’s not too much infos.
Would anyone have some experience with that?
And how to identify the original and aftermarket?

Hyu, did you mean the insert or the actual rotating knurled steel bezel ring?

I am interested in both the bezel insert and the rotating ring. Other than going over thousands of photos of vintage submariners I have not found any specific information related to the latter. Would sure appreciate any insight from the wise sages on this forum.

My '66 5513 came with a later insert that is authentic Rolex but not period correct. The rotating ring is worn but seems to have a different edge profile than shown in most of the photos. However I have seen a couple of photo examples that are closer to my watch.

I don't have any photos of my watch that clearly show this and it is currently out for an overhaul and some touch up to the 12 o'clock lume triangle that has some damage. Will post once I have the watch in my possession.
