Looking for info older Sub
A friend asked me about this older Sub he inherited from his father has the box and hang tags a jubilee with extensive stretch can anyone offer any info and pehaps an estimated value for this piece ? I don't know anything about vintage subs and if this is rare or a common older piece.
Thanks in advance Ed

Very cool 5513. I'd say its 80's based on the gold surrounds on the dial but I am not an expert.

Yep, looks 80s based on the dial and the USA Bufkor box

Post 85 5513, service hands and dog munched raised crown (correct ) tag - I'm going to have a guess at either 8,878,788 or 9,878,788 SRL no !

Ps little fun fact for the newbies: the 31J on the tag in red was the upgrade stamp to 31 Jewels of the calibre - often found on the raised crown tags;-)

Very cool watch.
Thé bracelet… i wonder if it’s a GMT band 62510h? The last link on the underside of band should have ‘50’. What endlinks are on that bracelet ? Harry |

Just another observation.... the bracelet looks like a European 'D' shaped (flat bottom) link rather than USA 'O' shaped coffee bean shape bracelet - whereas as someone pointed out it's with a Bufkor USA box.
To answer your rarity question. 5513 with the white gold surround hour marker were made from c 1985 to 1989 - years ago not considered as collectable as the earlier matte dial but now becoming quite collectable. To get an idea of values go to Chrono 24 and put in 5513 and filter it to 1985-89 - yours is in average/ok condition so perhaps use 75% of values (often optimistic dealers) you see.
