AD emailing me asking if I want to sell them a Tudor

Quote:
Good afternoon

I hope you are well. I wanted to send this quick email to you as you have purchased a Tudor from us in the past, and at the moment our Pre-Owned Team have shown an interest in buying Tudors back from previous clients. Should you have an interest in trading in the Tudor we offer both a fixed purchase price or a trade in price which is a little higher. This is an opportunity to take all of the hassle out of selling a watch privately, and potentially put it towards a watch you have had your eye on for a while. If the idea of trading in you Tudor does pique your interest please do get in contact with us by responding to this email or give us a call on xxxxxxxxxxx ; if you do give us a call and fancy popping into store we can also get an appointment arranged for whenever is most convenient for you. Do pop in when you have a bit of shopping to do as our pre-owned team can take up to an hour and a half to get a price for us: we always recommend coming to us first and then having a bit of a wander around the center. When coming into store we would need either a passport and a driving license, or one of those forms of ID and a utility bill/bank statement.
I might tell them they need to come see me in person to register their interest

You should ask them to provide ID first

That’s awesome. A sign of supply issue at Tudor?

Indeed, put them on your waiting list.

Joke aside, it's nice to have options and skip the hassle of selling privately.

A sign that Tudor will soon have a CPO program?

Multiply the value of the Tudor 5x and ask them to throw in that much diamond jewelry to sweeten the deal!

So strange to hear. My AD is flush with new Tudors and preowned. All the hard to get stuff as well. Panda chrono's, Rangers, 58's GMT (even the root beer)

Might be an AD trick to see whether you flipped the Tudor you purchased? :)

Why would they need a passport, driver's license and bank statement? That seems excessive to sell a Tudor.

Not based on the nine blue BB58s my nearest AD has collecting cobwebs in the case.

Is there really sufficient demand for Tudors to warrant this?

I would think AD’s have more important things to do with their time

It's just like the phone calls from auto dealers: "We need used car inventory! Please stop by to get a quote, we pay cash." What they really want to do is underpay you and sell something new for high profit margin.

I would totally respond to them with "I'll put you on the interest list".
