SM 300m of the 60's pictures, please
I was contemplating on getting a vintage Omega Seamaster 300m of the 60's. Kindly show me your watch of this era please and also tell, how you managed to acquire it.

I'll post the pics of my vintage (thanks for the correction, your dead right) SM300 again. Purchased from a preowned dealer in Brisbane. Apparently I am the third owner, the original owner from 1967 to 2009, a collector to 2011 and then to me.

Garage (yard) sale find
A lucky $25 score, they don't happen often enough but they are still out there, good luck in your quest

Great watch that SM300. I have a 200M SHOM on its way to me from Watcho. Cannot wait to get it.

Got my watch.....
From my late Father whom cared for it indeed. It is an heirloom to say the very least and I intend to look after it well and wear it with pride.

Have you being offered?

Have you ever experienced being offered by friends, when you were wearing the watch and what did you say, when declining their approach? |

Just a few....
Offers I have turned down and some were very generous. I always explain my love for the watch and do proclaim that indeed there may be a day of parting with it but it's no time soon. I know I would regret the loss of this piece.....and would be hard pressed to find another (factory original)

Sometimes it's just condition,condition,condition.

Not surprising
Quote:
I am not surprised some of the offers were generous because it is virtually impossible to get another watch, similar to the condition of yours. Anything that is naturally aged and in top condition plus factory-original, commands a premium, nowadays. |

I have always loved to own a vintage SM300 of the 60's (I cannot afford the new ones unfortunately), just like yours but with a date. With the help and advice of enthusiasts like you and some others, I have managed to get one that is factory-original. I hope you like it. |
