A gift for Little Paul!

A large box arrived in the post today from the US. Neither the Long-Haired General nor myself could think what it could be...

Some of you may remember that the last of our foals born was named "Paul" in honour of our very own VTC Guy. Well, Big Paul (The VTC Guy) must have sent a gift to his namesake!
There was a card, a Newborn gift basket for Little Paul himself and a basket each for The Long Haired General and myself!

Paul, many thanks my friend! Totally unnessisary but very much appreciated by all three of us!

First I asked Little Pauls mother if he could have his gift...

Then I gave it to Paul!

He was so excited he just had to run around for a bit!

My Pleasure Mark, thanks again for honoring me with the namesake, hope the little guy enjoyed his gifts! I have no doubt with your care he will grow up to be a happy and succesful animal. (Probably do better in this world then I did! ).

P.S. I tried to send you and the long-haired general a proper congratulations with champagne, but WOW! Trying to order an alcohol gift basket over-seas is a nightmare! You'd think I was trying to request nuclear weapons or something Hope you two enjoy the small (alchohol free) baskets anyway...

Love it! Laughed out loud, and so did my girls!

Little Paul must have liked his gift! What else did he get, besides the little bear? A plate and a cup?

Big Paul, you're the best! Little Paul, you're a doll!

Thanks again, Paul! Yip, alcohol and international customs is always a blast!

I see that Pauls basket contains a 'hand and foot impression kit'. The next time we bring Little Paul into a stable I'll do the impressions and send 'em back to you as a keepsake of your namesake!

As my girls would say, very high "squee" factor, especially in the second pic.

Very nice.
Who is the Long-Haired General? Is that a horse, a mule or a dog?

No, you can't be such a male chauvinist pig in the XXIst century, can you?

My wife of 27 years is a sweetie, my love and my best friend. And she has short hair.

Nothing chauvinistic about it! I know my place and do what I'm told! That sounds like 'girl power' to me!

Mark, I think you now need to nominate Paul as Little Paul's GODFATHER, and from now on we need to refer to him as "Big Paulie"

Here a couple of pictures for Little Paul to motivate him to eat well and learn. Sorry, no time to clean my horse this morning....Plus he had just rolled in the sand.
