Help on No Date Sub Authenticity
Hi everyone,
I’m interested in picking up this submariner. I believe it is a 14060. I’m not too familiar with the different dials / bezels and whether or not they are service. Hoping you folks could chime in on the originality of the watch. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The watch looks OK with a quick glance.
None of the stuff with it would have come with that watch though.

Help on No Date Sub Authenticity
Quote:
Hi Tools, Thanks for the feedback. Here is another shot of the “set” the seller is selling. Are the box and brochures incorrect with this watch? Seller claims it is his grandfather’s, that he is not a watch collector and that he is not aware of the model or anything. Just my best guess it is a 14060 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Definitely a 14060 from the 90s (between 1990 and 1998) since it is a tritium dial. Probably late 90s given the condition. It looks nice. The clasp looks a little over polished but it might be due to the angle of the shot.

Thanks for the help gents. I took off the bracelet and it was surely 14060. T serial which dates it to 1996. Bracelet is 93150 with 501B end links, and a Z clasp code which dates it to 1997. Here are some more pictures:
IMG_5508.jpg IMG_5509.jpg The bracelet is thankfully not overpolished! Lugs have been polished and some curvature on the lug holes. I think it was a solid buy! Any criticisms of the watch are welcome. It helps me to learn better as well. Thanks again all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hard to tell from the pictures, but overall is looks nice and crisp, lugs look sharp. Nice set.

Interesting to see how these sets are so often accompanied by the chronometer certification tag, as we know these two line subs were never sent for COSC certification.

I have the same box inner and outer with my 95 one. No red tag, just the green oblong tag, a green leather card holder with year calendar. Submariner booklet. Warranty paper sheet, punched i think with the serial
Don't think i have an anchor with it. Didn't get a polishing cloth either. |

Really great. I’ve been considering trading my Tudor Sub for one of these. Really like the no date. Congrats.
