After 12+ Years it Finally Happened
Got the call yesterday afternoon and was shocked!
I have been a member here for 12 years and have never owned a Rolex. The timing was always terrible. In that time, I got a MS in Engineering, build a home, had 3 babies and made my way in my career. This Jan I proposed the idea of getting a SubD for my 40th (Dec 2024). Initially she wasn't thrilled, I whipped up a power point on the why, value proposition, the legacy and where the $ would conform. She laughed the whole time and agreed! 5 months later, after about 10 in store visits and some friendly conversations, WOS came through 6 months early. You couldn't slap the smile off my face. The only question now is, do I really wait to wear it until Dec? Also, my son already has his eyes on it... better sleep with one eye open from here on out. |
