San Francisco GTG - Pictures Thread

Thanks to Dr. Robert (Bob) for organizing and going across the Web to TRF members as well other watch Fora for today's 4/17 GTG at Johnny Foley's Irish Pub in Downtown San Francisco.

We had a great turn out as you can see. However, we actually had two groups of WIS in the same pub - until someone discovered we had not made the connection! We all got together in the end, but had at least a round and some food before everyone figured it out.

There were other photos, but I'll kick it off and participants can add on. Afraid I was breaking in a new camera so these photos are not my best.

Will have to rely on Bob and others to name the user names / first names.

Here was the pub of choice today on a cool, but Sunny San Francisco day...

The sign says it all:

Pay no attention to someone wearing the uh... infamous "shirt."

Uh Oh...another one of those shirts.

After the "discovery" that another bunch of WIS were in the house.

One of several attempted group shots. Thanks Al!

Note the good Dr. Robert holding on to the Panda "Avatar" for Al.

More pics to come by others I am sure.

I enjoyed meeting so many folks AND salivating over FusionStorm's Red Sub and Orange Hand Explorer. Man, I need to go Vintage soon.
Oh, we also had a guest who had brought along the watchhead for a Paul Newman Daytona. We all gingerly passed it around and basked in it's Vintageness... The local RSC had recently authenticated it. Man, what a find. Reminds me of several TRF threads, but this was in the flesh and real as could be. I know others took photos and should be posting soon.

Nice meeting everyone and thank to Dr Bob for putting it all together!

Nice to put some faces to the screen names and see some very nice Rolex's and Panarai's. And the shopping wasn't bad afterward either ;-)

For my first GTG, I was thoroughly impressed at the final turnout. As has been said already, much props to Dr. Robert for getting the word out to the WIS community here. Sorry I had to skeedaddle shortly after the two groups merged, but I had a wife, 2 youngsters and nanny waiting for me, and also a couple of large proposals due by 10AM tomorrow morning (sigh).

Looking forward to seeing pics of the timepieces that came through.......

Hoping you have more photos - i.e. of the Newman Daytona and various others.

I will post a couple more. Should have brought my Canon.

Blurry Table Shot...

Dr. Robert is either offering FusionStorm cash for his Red Sub - or paying the tab.

Looks like those of us down here in So Cal weren't the only ones having fun this weekend!!

One of these days, I'll have to come up for a Nor Cal GTG!

Definitely looks like a fun time for all!
