1979 Rolex Date 1500 Stainless Steel - Pool Intairdril Company Logo Dial

Available for sale is a 1979 Rolex Date crafted of solid stainless steel. This Rolex 1500 is special as it bares the Pool Intairdril Company logo. Pool Intairdril was a petroleum company which operated in Libya in the late 1970s to 1980s. Rolex watches with their company logo were given out to employees as work related rewards. These watches were intended to be work watches and often times they survive in poor condition, often with replaced bracelets and slightly damaged/worn out dials. This particular example has a stunning dial and tight original bracelet. In addition, this example has gold markers and hands which is absolutely stunning in person. I have researched and have only seen a few examples with these gold hands and markers, perhaps this watch was reserved for a more prestigious award?

Case: 34 mm stainless steel case in attractive condition showing honest signs of previous wear with no major distractions
Bezel: Original stainless steel bezel which shows honest signs of previous wear.
Dial/Hands: Original silver dial with Pool Intairdril Company logo. The dial is completely original and has never been touched up/refinished. The Pool Intairdril Company logo was applied by Rolex and is original to the watch. The dial is in attractive condition. Hands are as attractive as they left the factory.
Bracelet/Strap: Factory original Rolex Oyster Stainless Steel bracelet showing honest signs of previous wear. The bracelet has nearly no stretch, we have included a photo with the maximum stretch. Bracelet reference is 78350 with 557 endlinks. The clasp is marked VD which correctly dates the bracelet to 1979 The strap will fit an 8 inch wrist
Movement: Rolex 1570 Automatic winding movement which has been recently serviced by our watchmaker. The watch is currently running a +6 seconds per day.
Crystal: Acrylic in attractive condition.
Accessories: This watch comes watch only. It does not come with box or papers.
