In terms of oysterflex that is not an option, haven’t seen one like that.

Wouldn’t look good as mentioned above as the DD / DJ are more dress oriented versus the models where it is used (sport models)

I know this is quite the departure from a DD, less so from a DJ, especially one with a smooth bezel. But here is my OF on Ex1. IMO it looks incredible.

I don’t care much for rubber with fluted bezels. It’s an extreme clash of style IMO.

That said, the OF will definitely work with 36mm DJs (20mm lug width) and I’m hypothesizing that the 21mm of from the new white gold YM would work with DJ41s (21mm lug width).

I don’t think people realize how good many of these combos can look!

With DD i would think there is something wrong with it.
With DJ i don't know. Haven't seen one with a flex before..But if i had one, i wouldn't do it, i think it won't match with the (meaning of the) design

SkyD on OF would give you a pretty good idea of what that would look like. I don't recall seeing anyone try a DJ or DD on OF though.

Endlinks from Chadridv's pics are form smartyendlinks, link below:

http://www.smartyendlinks.com/

I believe he is using the 116520 ones, but I think there are model specific one for the Explorer I (214270) under the Sports section.

Those look like SmartyJones end links which would definitely work. The Exp 1 looks like it was made to go with the OF bracelet!!!

Your Explorer looks great on the oysterflex.

Did you buy the oysterflex separately, or did you take it off another watch you already own?

I would love to do that to my Explorer, but not sure how to source one. Would an AD sell just the band/clasp?

Thanks

Your AD isn't supposed to sell you an OF if you can't provide them with a watch that came on it, but at the end of the day it comes down to how good your relationship is with them or how convincing you can be.

From time to time they do show up on TRF's classified section - at a premium as they are difficult to source.

Only issue is you need to know your size, D, E, F etc. I can't locate the thread that has the sizing but typically D = 4 full links, E = 5 full links, F = 6 full links etc.

The clasp you could use your Explorers clasp as it fits. Sourcing an extra one from an AD is difficult as sometimes it's sold on a swap basis.

IMO, the Oysterflex should be available on all “sports” Rolex

@Chadridv ......... best looking Explorer I’ve ever seen !

If Rolex made an adult sized Explorer, I would have no hesitation duplicating that work of art !
