Tudor Black Bay question/advice needed

So I have had a black bay noir with the ETA movement for about 3 months now, and has been great, an average gain of 1.5 sec/day. Don't have on a winder, so it occasionally runs down. This morning it was dead, wound it up and around 40 to 50 winds it started spinning the rotor. Instead of the normally smooth wind, this would spin the rotor like crazy and you could really hear it going... Each tur. Of the crown, more spinning...was never that loud and have had lots of watches from Rolex to Omega to Tudors, Tags and Longines. Many have had ETA movements and in 16 years of owning mechanical watches, never seen this happen. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced something like this? Texted AD and they thought it could be "releasing tension" but seems like something is wrong. Thoughts/has this happened to you?

Why do you think you hear the rotor? Winding doesn't engage the rotor. When you wear the watch, do you hear the rotor spinning freely? They are usually very quiet.
When winding, there is a "slipping clutch" that slips like it should once the mainspring is fully wound. It makes some noise and imparts some resistance.

If you think your rotor has somehow failed it's simple to figure out. Wear the watch for several days without winding. If the rotor has failed the watch will stop.
But I really believe all you're hearing is the clutch slipping...

I will let it wear down, bit when I go to wind the crown, a turn sends the rotor spinning. The watch never made that noise before. I know when the clutch engages, this is not it - very odd, as you turn the crown you can hear/feel the rotor spinning like crazy inside. Never seen this'll any of the 15 plus watches I have owned.

I have had this happen, it was on a watch with a Valjouix 7750 chrono/date movement. Just quit wearing the watch. It was on a Mido that's crazy thick, so I didn't wear it often anyway.

This is a failure that happens sometimes to the ETA 2824 movement. Was just discussing it with someone a few days ago...something in the winding train breaks (sorry, forgot what) and spins the rotor rather than winding the watch. Easy repair...send it in for warranty service or have a local fix it.
