Cool Watch
Let me start by saying I love the ceramics. They're beautiful, strong, durable and like it or not here to stay. I've been wearing them for the better part of six years now with no issues. Smacked them on accident more than once without any problems. Can they break? Sure. I'd have to believe if Dr Tom hasn't had any problems then chances are most of us won't.
I wanted something a little different. Something I haven't had before. That eliminates Submariners, GMT's and one 116520 in there too. I have a thing for some 5 digit models too. Hard to beat a few of them due to how they wear. I wanted something comfortable too. I have arthritis at the base of my left thumb. No matter how I adjusted the Glidelock on the 116610 I was wearing, it wasn't helping. Wear it a little snug and as my wrist swelled during the day, it aggravated my thumb. Loosen it up and it flops around. No bueno. The GMT's are lighter and wore a more comfortable on me that the Subs do. Maybe a 116710? Nope. Decided on this one. Hard to beat the cool factor it has What's not to like. The size works great on my 8" plus wrist. Maxi dial and hands that are a nod to the original version. Just enough color to give it a little pop. The orange hand is too coo and easy to read in any lighting conditions. waterproof enough for anything I'll ever need. I've only wore it for a day but on my wrist it wears more like a 5 digit Sub or GMT than a 6 digit. I believe it's because the case back is wide and it distributes the weight over a bigger area and sits a little closer on your wrist. I'm a happy guy. Enjoy your weekend everyone

Great watch. I could not agree more with your comments. I own the Polar and don't know a cooler watch for what it is.

Really glad see the Expy II getting some love on the forum. I think it's one of the most underrated sport models it there. Wear it well!

It's a cool watch and looks good on your wrist. A great fit is as important as the asthetics of a watch, great to know you've achieved both! Congrats!

Wow...it looks fantastic on you ...and cool.
I agree that this watch wears surprisingly well for a 42mm. Aside from the Pelagos, maybe the most comfortable 42 out there. Man, I sure do miss mine... |

Outstanding pal!!!
That has become my go to reference. Love the size and the hommage the orangs hand pays to the original. Size is perfect and so comfortable. Nice score. |
