Gold again for Team Holland!

Today, on the fourth day of the Winter Olympics, was the event that many had been waiting for. It is one of the 3 new events in this edition of the Olympics: outdoor joint rolling (with mittens). The Dutch and European champion, Henk ‘fast fingers’ De Jong was the strong favorite, with the Lebanese champion the best second. There was an outsider too, Canadian rookie John (due to legislation only first name will be mentioned).

The 10 contestants warmed up during the 30 minute ‘reefer’ time in which the Jamaican contestant passed out and was disqualified. At exactly 12 A.M. the referee checked the mittens and the game was on. After 5 minutes, the Welsh contestant had to give up after repeatedly tearing the paper of his joints. De Jong, cool as ever, soon picked up his pace, keeping his 2004 championship time schedule. He used the special Nike mittens for the first time, prepared by his trainer and mental coach Elco Brink. For those unfamiliar with the rules, the object of the game is to roll as many Olympic standard joints in 45 minutes time. The European record (held by De Jong) stands at a staggering 73 joints!

After just 16 minutes the contest was over. The Lebanese contender lit one of his joints and was disqualified and the Canadian was no match for the Dutch champion. De Jong managed 75 approved joints in the 45 allowed minutes and took Olympic Gold for the first time. France took Silver and the Scilly Islands took home the Bronze medal, which came as a complete surprise.

De Jong dedicated his medal to the Dutch Federation of Home Growers and stated he was already preparing for the World Championships.

Let me guess, he was using the new Zig Zag Orange papers. Specifically designed for the Dutch Olympians.

A little bird tells me that De Jong is also entered in the Summer Olympics. His two disciplines are, heading the shot and catching the javelin.

Rumor has it, that these "Official Olympic Joints" or OOJ, are then screened thoroughly by the Snowboarders.
I hear that one Cdn a few years ago, actually sampled the product when this event was still in the Exhibition phase. He ended up winning a gold.
After some debate of whether he " inhaled or not", the medal standing was confirmed. The Judge could not reprimand him for participating in a cross over event.
Soon these two will merge & we will have a new Bi-Athelon event. Roll-N-Board

And in that field the Canucks will excell! Although there's one requirement that still makes me think this over twice. The contestants have to look the part. They have to score 10 out of 10 on the cool-o-meter. Are they up to this? This means: the right tan, the right pair of sunglasses, the right beads around the neck and the right blonde babe on the arm. Are you up to this awsome challenge? I'm free to take up the position of coach and advisor

Frans, I think the job is yours.
We should also consider adding yet one more event & making a tri-athalon.
You cannot have a complete event without the Nacho Eating portion of the event.

Frans, screw the medals mate, your team all owns gold pants and matching necklace medallion combo. Who the hell needs a stupid medal to clash with that stylish outfit?
