Motif and palm dials gone

Ugh those were some of the most interesting dials for DateJusts

Congrats to anyone who still owns one

Why would Rolex do such a thing though?

I owned one for a brief of short period and underwhelmed. I sold it at par.
the grey market is not selling higher of those dials.

Same. Had the RG slate fluted motif briefly. Far too busy. Much prefer the plain, sunburst dials.

Had thought about picking up a blue motif 36mm. Hadn't seen it in person though. Oh well.

I NEVER understood the draw of the palm dials, to me they were straight up cringeworthy.

I like them a lot. I like plants nature etc so they appeal to me. I don't think they appeal to folk who live their entire lives in a city aka the concrete jungle.
