Day Date 1803 with f18000 clasp

Yesterday I bought a Day Date 1803 circa 1972 with hacking seconds and concealed clasp, serial number 2.9 million.
Upon close inspection today I’ve noticed the end links are 53 which I believe is correct but the clasp has f18000.
From what I read that would have been late 1970s on the early 18038 models.
Can anyone please confirm that is correct and if so is the wrong clasp a major negative or common and to be expected?
If it’s a problem I’d like to know so I can return the watch to my local dealer ASAP for a refund.

It would be very unusual to find a 50 year old watch without a few upgraded or changed parts.

Agree. Just enjoy that baby without worrying. How about a pic?

Here's mine from 1969, if I may...Also concealed clasp President bracelet.

Mine is 1971 with original band also stamped F18000 folding clasp. Beautiful band and not much stretch.

For 1803 I find that people are less picky with things like this…the amount of stretch on the bracelet seems more important…
