Greetings and Thanks

Hi everyone,

Another new member checking in - I have learned a good deal already in the short time I have been reading the forum. It empowered me to make my first Rolex purchase from a trusted TRF seller, and has been helpful in answering my subsequent questions too, like "why doesn't the logo on my crown point straight up like it does in all the promo photos?"

A week ago today my first Rolex arrived, an Explorer II 216570 - Polar, purchased from DavidSW who I learned about here on the forums.

Purchasing my watch came about as the result of acquiring jewelry from my mom after she passed away last year. While some of the pieces had some value, they weren't anything I could see keeping myself, or passing along to someone else - I decided to use her items to acquire something nice that I would use and could also remember her by, and something I could pass along when the time came.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Although it took quite a while to acquire my first Rolex, I am sure it won't be my last.

The Rolex watches I was originally drawn to many years ago were the Submariner and the GMT-Master. I still look forward to acquiring one of those as well!

Thanks again for making me feel welcome, and all the help in buying my first watch.
