Newbie looking at a Datejust

First time rolex shopper! Saw a Datejust 41 mint for a good price, but the jubilee band looks off? Fake bracelet or just different than the pics I’m finding.

The one I’m looking at has one large link between lugs, the “real ones” seem to have two smaller links between the lugs

Bottom bracelet belongs on the previous model(1162xx). Top is correct.

He tells me it’s a 2022?…. The bottom is a pic of the one I was looking at.. so it’s an older band / not factory band?

Right, not original to DJ41. End links are different And the older bracelet also has a hidden clasp.

Gotcha.. seemed like a good deal at $7200 but if it’s a Frankenstein maybe not… not box or papers either

I don’t have my DJ in front of me at the moment, but at a glance on the second picture potentially the proportions look a bit off. I may be crazy though. Not wearing the DJ today.

The top picture is factory… two smaller links on each side inside the lugs… and this is one large one on each side.

Sorry, I meant of the case, bezel, and even dial and hands to an extent. Like I said I don’t have mine to immediately reference but feel that is just off a bit. I do see the links as well. Sorry for the lack of clarity on what I meant.

A 2022 should have box and papers. Hard pass , if it were me.

Curious to know if the old-style bracelet can even be fitted on the new model. Generally, Rolex makes just enough change in sizes somewhere so upgraded parts cannot be retrofitted on older models.

It is? How can you tell from looking at a picture?

There is a reason the price is so low. Don't buy this.

You’re referring to the super jubilee which has a 20mm lug width. The DJ41 uses the 62610 bracelet which is 21mm wide, meaning this is at best an aftermarket bracelet or at worst a fake altogether. Looking at the picture I favour the latter and would not even consider it.

Thanks everyone. I flagged it on the site as fake and it has been removed. I think I’ll just pay full price so I know what I’m getting!
