How often do you rewind your Rolex?

Due to summertime today (I nearly missed it) I have to "pop out" the crown today for the first time since being a Rolex owner.

I wear my Rolex daily about 6-8 hours a day and it lose about -4 seconds everday which is normal from my research into the matter.

I have to pop out the crown at the end of almost every month because I need to change the date so I was wondering, how often do you rewind your Rolex? or should I stay put and dont rewind the Rolex due to me wearing it daily?

Any help are welcomed.

Edit: My Rolex is a 1601 caliber 1570

Never ever considered this.
But I swap watches often so it will be hard to check it.

Our you asking, "How often do we wind our Rolex?" If this is your question, then my answer would be maybe once a month, if that. I wear my 14060m 24/7. Sometimes I will swap it out for a day with my Speedy Pro, but when I put the Submariner back on, I usually don't wind it, unless it has been a couple of days.

My Submariner gains +2/day while wearing it 24/7. Hope that helps.

I hated to rewind my watch, but it lose average –3 seconds in every 24 hours, that’s mean almost 1 minute in 3 weeks, And I found that accuracy depends on power reserve level, so I used to rewind and adjust it around 2 weeks.

When it stops when using other watches in rotation. Although I wind them at least once a month if they haven't gotten any wrist time.

I take care of my dad's 16713. On weekdays, he works so the GMT is not on his wrist. He gets usually 3-4 hours of wrist time during the week. So I give it 5 or
10 winds if he doesnt wear it. On the weekends, it's properly worn.

Depending on wrist time about once a week something I have done for the past thirty odd years of Rolex wearing.

X2

Since I have learned a few things from Padi such as they do tend to run more efficently when the power reserve is topped off. Once a week would be my plan if I were to wear just one everyday.

However since I have a few and wear them in rotation I also need to set and wind one everyday. Unlike a quartz watch though interaction such as this is all part of the pleasure of owning a mechanical watch which has gears, bridges, springs, and such.

Usually when I need to set the watch or when I pick one up at the bank. Sometimes, I just decide to give it a wind if I've been at home all day for a few days without much activity.

There's no right answer. If you do it every week or two, that's plenty, unless you're bedridden.

Rarely.

I wear my LVC enough so I almost never have to wind it.
My YG GMTC on the other hand has to be wound every time I wear it which is only 3-4 times a month.

I read that if you do have it sit past its power reserve, do NOT pick it up and shake it about or put it on your wrist and start moving it. Wind first.
May be obvious to some of you but Im sure not everyone.

I take it the wear on the movements would be less if you let the power reserve run out instead of cycling through watches so they never run out.

I wind mine once a week, sometimes twice if it does not get enough wrist time. I wear my Rolex daily but do remove it at night and when I'm working in the yard, around my cars, etc., just any situation that might not be a good idea. I'm fortunate that it runs +2 seconds/day so at the end of the month I reset it to time.gov.

Better to wind the watch since the shake won't topoff the power reserve anyway.

Yes, let it run out when you don't plan to use it. No need in pulling out the crown and keeping the power reserve or main spring wound.

When not wearing for extended period give it a full wind once a month to keep everything lubricated.

I have never wound any of my Rolexes. I wear each of them at least once per month and, when that time comes, I shake it a few times and put it on my wrist.

Then perhaps its time to start doing it correctly and use the winding crown after all that's what its for, and what Rolex themselves advise to use.

I wound my GMT upon purchasing it new about a year ago and have never wound it since because I wear it 24/7-thinking that it is, after all, an "Oyster Perpetual".

I wind once a week because I don`t give my watch enough exercise to keep it going perpetually.
