Downsized my collection for the better

Keeping safe queens just doesn't make sense for me anymore so I made the decision to part ways with my SS Daytona & TT Blue Sub. Never wore either of them much so the goodbye was pretty easy........especially when the SS Sub C arrived to join my GMT Pepsi.

Is it joining you on your wrist...or in your safe?

The Sub C will not be leaving my wrist for a long time. The GMT is pulling safe duty now (3186 & versatility is saving it from sale). Love this Sub like no watch before.

Makles no sense to keep it to me if it just sits in the safe.

Great Choice, Congrats.

I don't blame you.

I have been downsizing to put away cash for the zombie attack (kidding, but not so much....)

I am down to two...a 1665 sea dweller and 1675 GMT and still 5k short of goal. Will probabaly sell and get something modern like a Sub C or LV and get out of the game until the economy improves.

Hey Allen!

Nice to hear from you again. I knew the GMT was always your fave

Congrats on the Sub. Definitely agree with you that there's no sense in keeping a watch that just doesn't get worn.

For me, TWO is the perfect number

Enjoy yours!

I'm going to hijack this thread because the OP's picture perfectly shows how Rolex blew it with the shoulders on the new Sub C's as well as the GMTIIC.

Before you shoot me I will state that both the SubC and GMTIIC are beauties IMHO and my complaint would not prevent me owing the Sub C someday ......but......

yes the dreaded but...............

If Rolex HAD JUST rounded off the shoulders were the case meets the bracelet... oh how soooo perfect the watch would be. You can clearly see on the GMT in the photo how the taper is perfect.

I know this has been talked about ad nauseam but after seeing the photo I had to comment....

Comments????

Flame suit on.....

:)

Two is the perfect number for everyday...plus a special piece that you only pull out of the case on special occasions.
