Looks fake to me could it be Real?

I have done a good amount of reading on how to spot fakes, but am not sure on this one as all the after market Bling is in the way.

How much would it cost to restore this to an original piece if real?

Thanks in advance for the information.

... a real Rolex embellished to to point of looking fake.

I'd expect a dial could be had for $200+; hands a few hundred; and the bezel probably >$1000 - and at the same time could have it inspected and serviced to ensure all-is-well.

Call it $2000+ but you can sell the chips to a diamond merchant to recover a little....

Lovely hands!! Customized so that they do not interfere with the artisan crafted diamonds

haydendillon: Is it your opinion that the watch is fake or just excessive embellishment?

i would not touch this watch, i would say it's an original case, i cant see the band well enough to discifer the markings properly so it could be fake also, probably an original movement although there are no pictures so who knows, with all these alterations its bound to fail somewhere, waterproofing or just stop due to misfitting components.

Agree that this is a high-risk prospect. With ability to return & discounted to cover the cost to set it right - could make sense.

Put a different way - to some it's value as a watch is equal to its scrap gold value. A nice scenario would be: verify authenticity; pick it up at scrap gold price; set it right and enjoy.

~100 grams (total weight of gold - later models may be higher / verify!)
X
.032 (grams per troy oz)
X
18/24 (18k gold)
X
$1700/oz (spot price)
--------------
$4000

That thing is HIDEOUS. I would say its fake. The finishing on the braclet is just plain bad.

Fake. No proof marks on the case back. Bracelet clasp markings/engravings are bad.

I like how the case back gasket is sticking out! LOL.

There is a marking on the case back...
Markings on clasp look good to me...

Hands look like they are off a Ladies watch...
Gasket probably sticking out because someone has opened it up...

Looks to me like a watch that has been extensively modified and then well worn by its owner, bracelet looks a bit stretched and watch looks tired.

If I was a betting man, I would say that under the after market modifications, it's genuine.

(not that I would want the hideous pile of )

I,too, would think that someone would invest in the diamond bezel only if the watch was real.
The aftermarket additions are way over $1000. The watch itself would be priced at $10000+ by a legitimate dealer

id guess if some one had it in your hand and popped the back off the story may change.
although looking at the gasket , some one else has thought the same.

I agree the after market things are not in keeping with the whole Rolex look...is it me or is the Day window not level?

It should be on the inside (along with the others).
There does not appear to be any 18k hallmarks on the back of the actual case (lugs).
