Trip to Cambridge/London
Well, I haven't been posting for quite awhile now, due to my trip to the London/Cambridge area for a wedding between the 25th and the 30th of July, and then trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy at work to catch up. Anyway, great trip - wore the GMT-Master II on the trip - natch!
Here are a few photos taken during the trip: The church where the wedding was held in Cambridge: The bride's father (left) with me just outside the church: King's College, Cambridge: Entrance to Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where the reception was held (the bride & groom are recent graduates): More photos of the Corpus Christi courtyard: The bride and groom with my wife: London - The Temple Church (hard to find): Walking up The Strand/Fleet Street to St. Paul's: Cheers, my friends! Enjoy!!

And yes, Cambridge is indeed beautiful. Photos do not do it justice. I'll post a second round of them shortly. I'll still look like a tosser, though...

Do indeed, Ruben. You'll love it, I'm sure. I really like the historical aspects of the UK and Europe. Marvelous!

I know. The English don't make a REALLY good chocolate, especially dark. Cadbury is about it, and I really can't get behind that. Nothing like a good bar of Ritter Sport Dark. I usually can't find it in the US at all.

Looks like you had a great trip, Allan. Cambridge is a beautiful town and the University is just what you would expect from a British school of higher ed.
How did you get invited to the wedding? Have any good fish & chips while you were there?

Yes Ed, VERY good Fish & Chips in London (I had Chicken Tikka Marsala at a restaurant - The Copper Kettle - right across from King's College while in Cambridge - photo below. You can actually see King's College reflected in the restaurant window.) at a couple of locations. We wanted to go to reportedly the BEST location for Fish & Chips in London, Fryers Delight in Theobald's Road close to where we had rooms, but it was closed over the weekend.

Thanks, Steve. The best Fish & Chips I've ever had were served at the Magpie (my friends from Richmond called it "The Thieving Magpie" because they thought the prices were too high) restaurant in Whitby, on the North Sea. The fishing docks were right across the street from the restaurant. EXCELLENT!!!
