Confirm it's genuine

My uncle bought a brand new Explorer 39mm from a AD last month.
He was not sure it is genuine. So he went to the Rolex Service Center
to confirm. They opened up the watch and carefully examined the watch.
And 20 minutes later, they confirmed it's genuine. Of course he had to
pay for the testing/service fee.
The questions I would ask is this.
1. Will it invalidate the two years warranty ?
2. Will it get spoilt or in any way effect the watch after opening it ?
3. Any damage done ? Does it make any difference after opening it.
My uncle is very cautious and do not trust any dealers, AD or otherwise.
Your kind advice is much appreciated.
Thanking you all in advance.

The watch was purchased at an AD and hes worried it could be fake??? ADs don't sell fake watches. No it won't affect the warranty. Also it was opened at a rsc so why is there a worry about something getting in the watch. All rscs do is service watches and they are all opened. I understand you are a new member but IMO many buy at an AD so you don't have to worry about it being real or not. It's a bad move to have a brand new watch opened by a rsc or anyone else. Tell him not to worry so much and this is one of the strangest posts I've seen in a while. Welcome to the forum. I'm in no way being critical just taken back a bit.

Sorry. I choose not to confirm if it's genuine. And your uncle is a very wise man.

Welcome to TRF.

I find it odd that one chooses not to trust an AD or the RSC, but comes online to ask forum questions.

If anything, you should be asking the AD or RSC these questions.

Perhaps just very naive/not telling the true story.
