General question

Sorry if this has been covered already, but when does a Rolex become vintage? Is it age related, or when they become discontinued?

Is age related, the current strict definition for vintages are ones with plastic crystals and radium or tritium lume found till late 70s. Offcourse as the years go by the more recent discontinued ones will also be vintage someday but are not strictly vintage yet though are still very collectable like the 16660, 16800, 168000, Fat lady GMT, Zenith Daytonas, the discontinued sea dweller replaced by the Deep Sea, etc.
