Thoughts and a question: Milgauss GV ....

As I sit here looking at one of my favorite watches (Milgauss GV), So many things that make it unique:

the good and bad

The good:
Only Rolex with green crystal
matte finish on dial
orange markers/second sweep
no date
case design
rare
future collectable

The bad:
I was told by another owner who cracked his crystal that it had to go back to Switzerlamd and cost of $1200.00 to just replace the cyrstal.
I could not tell but he said the new cyrstal was more square on the edges than the original. I know there were delivery delays initially due to GV crystal issues so are there differences in the GV crystals.

Don't know about the cost of the crystal...

Love the watch, but I have to tell you it's not rare. It's definitively not as prevalent in the wild as a Sub or DJ to be sure, but readily available at many dealers.

I just got one, and although i do like the watch and enjoy wearing it, it probably gets about 1/10th as much wrist time as my sub-c. By comparison even though the milgauss is a heavy piece it just feels tinny. I will say, in the sunlight it looks fantastic and I have yet to see one in the wild thus far.

I've had my GV for a few weeks now. It doesn't get as much wrist time as my Explorer II but I really enjoy wearing it. I'm more of a kahkis kind of guy. I wouldn't say it's rare.....most AD's have them and they are available here on the forum frequently. Enjoy!

My GV doesn't get as much wrist time as my others, but for me the GV is my dress piece. I typically wear it with suits or shirt and tie.

Ironically I have seen two Milgausses in the wild which inspired me to purchase mine.

Bought my GV recently and love it. Will have to make sure I keep the crystal protected if I don't want to pay a small fortune to have it replaced. Next week I'll be in Vegas and plan on making the GV my day watch and wearing the Calatrava at night. As I write this I notice the Sub is on my wrist. Go figure.
