Advice on this Rolex 6532?
A good friend has a 6532 which he has offered to sell me, as he knows that I am looking at getting a birth year watch.
From the serial number 326*** we believe that it is from 1957. Though he will confirm it once he has had the back case removed. He has owned the watch for approx 13 years and in that time it has remained in his safe. He purchased the watch from a dealer who he believes bought it from the widow of the original owner. Currently my friend is searching for a genuine strap and buckle. Could the experts please take a look and say what they think? I have looked at the dial through a loupe and there are signs of pitting on the surface of the dial, that can not be seen with the eye. There is also some oxidisation around the batons, were the luminous marker would have been. Unfortunately the back cover does not have the quarter & year marked on it. My friends local dealer has emailed Rolex to get a better idea of the year, but he thinks that it may fall within the first 1/4 of 1958! Has any other member got any thoughts? I would also appreciate any feedback on the model and photos from other owners. Thanks for looking. I apologise for the crappy photos!

I am surprised that no one has come back.
Can anyone give me some input, even if it's not about the actual watch, but may be some history on the model? Or fellow collectors who have owned or still do own one?

It's a nice original example. You are probably correct about the SN being from 1957, but remember that is only approximate, and doesn't necessarily exactly reflect when the entire watch was assembled and sent out for sale, or even when it was sold at the dealer. The inner case back engraving will correlate approximately (unless a service replacement), and if you are lucky will be a '58. The bulls-eye dial was the usual configuration, from most I've seen (I don't have one).
This reference I believe had the cal. 1030.
